Most disappointing knife in the worldBy O. DibbleThis knife appears and sounds great, that is why I purchased it despite the high sticker price. However, shortly after I received the product I left for Costa Rica and planned that this blade would be perfect for the local climate and vegetative conditions. The blade lasted only the first week of six that I spent in Costa Rica. The first issue occurred when harvesting and preparing a coconut for consumption. When striking the hard inner-core of the coconut the blade suffered very large chips and breaks in the blade. This rendered the once very sharp edge useless and un-repairable without a grinder. The second issue, not that it is needed, occurred after replacing the kukri with a 5 dollar Cornuta machete that out preformed and out lasted the $300+ kukri. My new 22 oz. kukri paperweight whilst being transported so that I could return it when I returned home oxidized despite oil treatment and being packed away from exposure to the elements.
